IN THE WAKE OF THE CROSSERS
This HERITAGE SPACE, dedicated to ice canoeing highlights the evolution of this practice from a simple means of transport to a high-performance competitive sport.
Today recognized as part of Québec’s cultural heritage, the practice of ice canoeing runs in the veins of many families living on the islands and the shores of the St. Lawrence. It is up to you to perpetuate this tradition by initiating yourself to the practice.
Canoes, oversized photos, pieces of equipment, scale reproductions of canoes, videos and other interpretive elements will give you the impression of being aboard these boats in the company of these brave river crossers.
